‘The Time it Takes’
Michelle Harvey
acrylic on canvas
32.5cm x 32.5cm framed
The Shape of Light is a collection of dreamlike landscapes shaped by vast skies and moody atmospheres. Each work traces the ways light bends, softens and changes the mood of a place in the blink of an eye. These are not depictions of one place but memories of moments of wonder, shaped by the quiet act of looking upward and outward. In their openness, these paintings invite you to pause, to look outward, and to find wonder in the beauty of ever-changing light.
Michelle Harvey is a Melbourne-based artist whose atmospheric landscapes draw viewers into luminous worlds where light is fleeting, and colour dances across the horizon. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, Michelle builds her paintings through delicate glazes and transparent layers, creating softness, depth and a sense of movement. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries and art prizes across Australia where she shares her love for the beauty and wonder of our surroundings.
