About Elizabeth Clancy

Elizabeth Clancy is a Melbourne-born photographer who lives in Shoreham with her husband and three young children. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in History and Visual Arts at Monash University in 1997 and gained her Diploma in Applied Photography from NMIT in 2004, having held her first solo exhibition a year before. This was followed up soon after by a collaborative exhibition on cultural shifts in St Kilda that became the photographic book Same Place, Different Face.

She continued to balance work as a photojournalist, artist and commercial photographer in Buenos Aires and London before coming home to settle on the Mornington Peninsula in 2012. Recent prizes include the Highly Commended Photography Award for “Shands Road” in 2018 and the Best Other Medium prize for “Three Trees” in 2019 at Art Red Hill.
