As women and mothers, our minds are often busied by the demands of life. Time for self is limited. Without the noise, we have the opportunity to reflect, to dive into our inner landscape and sit with ourselves for a little while. This portrait shows a woman caught in a moment, lost in thought, introspection, reflection and contemplation. That ‘other’ place, which is boundless, timeless, still… to ponder and journey into the deeper layers of memory, experience, psyche and self. The quiet allows access to this deeply reflective place, be it comfortable or not, it brings us closer to ourselves.
