There it is
A myriad of sounds
I’m in a rainforest
Listen, the air awash with life,
I hear an orchestra of bird sounds,
The Whip bird is the star slicing the air
Then the response
I’m walking through unfamiliar territory,
Anxiety mixed with awe
Each step is pushing pulling sculpting the space with my body
Now I’m not on the ground, and floating up in the canopy
Where light cannot penetrate
What do I feel
Now the rainforest, the trees, palms, rocks, lichen sculpt me
Not knowing is the way to be
Not holding on
Walking, floating
