Hot sun bleached air, wind swept. Faded sand, wind blown into lines. Single strands of hair blow into the mouth, sand clings to sunscreen slathered calves, sweet enough to stick, dry enough to brush off. The clouds are hot, heavy, hinting rain. But that’s ok because the walk to sand was long and the cool dip is just perfect. Keep walking or stop and swim, East or West, sand or rock. The choices endless as fish in salt water.
