Description

‘Between Earth and Sky’
Kate Carrillo
oil on canvas
400 x 500mm

When water finally arrived back to the Wimmera River after drought many of the trees that appeared to be dead, awakened. Their huge root system that snake across the ground and plunge deep into the earth provide balance, resilience and cultivate growth. The water running north across the plains for millennia brings with it life and rejuvenation that is deeply imbedded into the cycle of life and spiritual stories of the first Australians.
